There are many ways to help the Xsera team, and not all of them involve programming knowledge! Your continued support, no matter how little, allows this project to keep running smoothly.
What's in it for you? Unfortunately, since this isn't exactly a profitable project, we can't pay you in money. However, we can offer you a place in the credits - a chance at eternal glory.*
If you wish to help, contact a member of the Xsera team to let us know that you're interested. One way to contact us is to leave a message on the IRC channel. If you have an account on Ambrosia forums, you can contact the team leader, Adam, here. Adam's IM accounts are also listed there.
* Among Ares/Xsera fans, at least.
Task List
The following tasks currently require attention. Of course, if you have ideas not listed here, you are welcome to share them.
New Xsera Sounds (Urgent Priority)
Since the creator of Ares, Nathan Lamont, does not have sufficient rights to release the sounds he used, Xsera can not use some of Ares' original sounds. Therefore, we need to make original sounds for Xsera.
Currently assigned to Geek of Ambrosia forums.
Updated Xsera Graphics (High Priority)
At one point, Ambrosia citizen Dark.Revenant offered to upgrade our weapon and shield graphics. However, he lost access to the software needed for him to continue this project, and we need to continue where he left off.
Currently assigned to khlae, but we could use more help in this one.
Xsera Website (Medium Priority)
This website, which may be the first thing that people see when visiting this project, doesn't look so great. If you could donate any amount of time to helping out with the website, it would be much appreciated. Currently, we are using the layout from Ares Central, made by Sfiera.
